When attending celebrations or Masses at Sacred Heart, please remember parking on the lawn at the Guadalupe Center is not allowed. We have had complaints. The City of Tacoma is forgiving this violation on our word that we would address this with our parishioners. Future violations will result in financial penalties.

Year of St. Francis of Assisi (now until January 2027)


Pope Leo has dedicated this year (January 2026 to January 2027) as the Year of St Francis of Assisi. It is the 800th Anniversary of his death in 1226.


Pope Leo recommends 2 books for the faithful to read: "Francis of Assisi: A Meditation on His Life and Writings" and "Francis of Assisi: A Revolutionary Life."

Project Rachel retreats (English)

Fall 2026

 

Catholic Community Services program Project Rachel walks with individuals who carry wounds from involvement in a past abortion. A retreat for women will be available from September 25 to 27, and the healing retreat for men from October 10 to 11 is to be facilitated by Reg Platt, author of The Hidden Wound: Finding Peace for Men After Abortion Through Project Joseph.
