Look at the parking lot!
It turned out so well and ready to receive people now for years to come. Thank you for your patience the week of September 22 when the old lot had to be broken up and replaced. The area that was replaced when the Parish Center was built is still good along with the storm water drainage system that was installed then as well. The parking stalls are now lined and can be seen clearly.
The renovation of the kitchen in the Parish Office, converting it to a much-needed space used as a workroom and storage, is coming along. We are appreciative of the Señor de Rescate group who have been working so hard on the demolition. Once the electrical is completed and upgraded, we can begin to build back.
The furnace in the church has also been repaired. We should be in good shape for the coming fall and winter months. None of this would be possible without the generosity of the Sacred Heart parishioners!
State withdraws attack on seal of confession
The State of Washington agreed today not to force Catholic priests to violate the sacred seal of confession...A federal court blocked the unconstitutional law earlier this summer, just days before it was set to take effect on July 27.
